Our Computer Systems

Creative Internet Ventures utilizes heavily optimized Intel Pentium-class 100Mhz+® servers with 32 to 64 MegaBytes of RAM, 4.0 GigaBytes of disk space, and 100 MB ethernet interfaces.. We are constantly upgrading our systems as necessary to sustain low system loads at all times. Whether your pages get 1,000 or 10,000 hits per day, we can assure a quality fast response for ALL our users. We do not sell "recreational" use services, which ultimately leads to high system loads and poor overall performance. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality Web services for our customers.

Our Operating Systems & Software

Creative Internet Ventures uses BSDI 2.1 as the operating system of choice for our dedicated Web servers. Our operating system has been heavily modified for optimum response to the high burst traffic. Our current HTTPD server is the Apache® NCSA HTTPD with slight modifications to ensure suitable security. We are also testing a new high bandwidth throttling HTTPD and SSL secure server for possible implementation in the future.

Our Internet Connection

Creative Internet Ventures site is connected to the Internet via redundant SprintLink® and MCI®. The servers are interconnected via a 100 MB internal network and two 100 MB TigerHubs, then to the T-1s. We have five Direct Leased line 1.544 megabit T-1s, two from MCI and three from Sprint via Crawford Communications. These T-1s are dedicated to our web-servers, nothing else. They are all yours to serve your pages and applications! This is our advantage! Dedicated T-1 Web service. Our Cisco routers run at less than 10% load and have 18 megabytes of ram on-board. The result is an above-average link putting your company 'very close to the Web'. We are constantly upgrading our servers as necessary to sustain low system loads at all times.
